All active USPTA members in the United States, its territories, and Canada may purchase $1 million worth of sexual abuse and molestation insurance.
To obtain a certificate for the Sexual Abuse & Molestation insurance coverage, you will need to provide the following documentation. Unfortunately, the USTA Safe Play background check or training is not able to be substituted.
- Individual must provide documentation of having attended a recent course of instruction regarding sexual abuse or molestation within the last 24 months. As an option, you may purchase the sexual abuse awareness training course through Abuse Prevention Systems at abusepreventionsystems.com or Ministry Safe at ministrysafe.com.
- Individual must provide documentation of a recent nationwide background check performed within the last 24 months. The background check must include: National Sex Offender Registry, County of Residence Report, and Enhanced Nationwide Report. This can be obtained by calling Abuse Prevention Systems or Ministry Safe after completing their training.
- Sexual Abuse & Molestation insurance coverage is not prorated, transferrable, or refundable, and cannot be purchased to cover additional insured.
