Free e-book for USPTA members

USPTA Elite Professional Frank Giampaolo is offering all USPTA members a FREE download of his e-book, “The Tennis Parent’s Bible (2nd edition).” Giampaolo is a multiple best-selling author and sports education veteran specializing in athletic parental education.

The dynamic between the tennis-teaching professional/coach, athlete and parent has always been a challenge. In order for a tennis-teaching professional to truly be successful, he/she must seek ways to increase family harmony and participation, radically decrease the game's dropout rate, maximize player potential at the quickest rate, and dramatically increase the bottom line to their respective business. Educating tennis parents about their roles and what expectations they should have is essential in developing a healthy, supportive relationship. This book provides forward thinking and helpful hints that should help USPTA members navigate this often uncomfortable scenario. Click here to download.

Meet the TDM Wizard

Looking for the right tool to organize and run best-in-class, entry-level junior tournaments? Meet the TDM Wizard!

The non-elimination format wizard will assist tournament directors in setting up their entry-level tournaments in the TDM system. The wizard guides organizers while setting up and scheduling their tournaments based on the NEF recommendations. All divisions use either shortened scoring or timed matches. Here’s how it works:

  • 8 and under will finish in two hours or less and guarantee each player a minimum of four matches.
  • 10 and under will finish in four hours or less and guarantee each player a minimum of four matches.
  • 12 to 18-and-under events will finish in four hours or less and guarantee each player a minimum of three matches.

The wizard can be used for all age divisions, including adult events. If you already run entry-level tournaments, you will be able to access the wizard in TDM. If you are interested in running an entry-level tournament, please contact your USTA district or section.
